Open Tuning 2017 has ended
In the Heart of  Downtown Toronto’s Seaton Village.

Open Tuning is a free DIY festival celebrating live music that will take place on June 10th, 2017, from 2p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in Seaton Village, Toronto.    Inspired by “La fete de la musique” in Paris France, the 4th annual Open Tuning  invites amateur and professional Musicians from all genres and ages to perform at neighbourhood venues such as porches, alleyways, garages and street corners.   Audiences can wander Seaton Village streets, enjoying seasoned artists or cheering-on complete beginners – even discovering casual gigs by international recording artists.

  • Fondly refered to as " the Festival for the rest of all" -  so  that anyone can be part of live music.  We provide ALL musicians with opportunities to perform live on stage and to connect with other musicians.
  • We help foster a community of volunteers (and we include musicians in this) who collaborate in organizing and promoting Toronto's only DIY music festival.
  • Our goal is to make this a free event that is widely accessible . 100% Community driven, the festival does not accept corporate sponsorships or advertising. However we are happy to work with partners and organizations who share our objectives and values.
  • To date, Festival costs have been covered by the organizers and by generous donations of audience members who provide what they can, through our crowd-funding initiatives.

Last year over 100 acts also donated their time for free so that all Open Tuning concerts remain free to the public .
